In
order to determine whether an individual initiated a particular
action or whether the action was predestined you must study its root
or cause. Here, the governing laws of cause and effect comes into
play when searching for grounds of influence. In studying cause you
will find that there are basically two types of causes those that
represent natural or physical laws, such as a tree falling to the
ground, and those exemplified by people\'s thought processes. This
difference is important because it demonstrates both that no man can
control his environment contrary to God’s laws, yet he can still
use God’s laws to maintain a degree of control over his own
conditions.
The
first type of cause is that of established facts, these would be
God’s laws or the physical and scientific laws that all objects
must obey. It is a known fact that man does not have the ability to
walk through a brick wall or breathe water, yet even the seamanly
impossible may be taken into consideration when evaluating a series
of causes leading to an specific action.
The
second type of cause is more obscure and is difficult to define. It
consist of perceptions given to proven patterns, past experiences and
observations of men, but more importantly it is the manner in which
men use God’s laws. Sometimes man is able to bend God’s laws to
fit his own criteria. This type of cause is derived at differently in
everyone, and it cannot be measured, predicted, or understood as well
as the other type. In fact it is often unable to be seen at all, but
it must exist simply by the fact that the entire world or even the
simple workings of one man\'s brain cannot explain all that is.
The
Power of Problem Solving.
What
is problem Solving and why should you be concerned?
Everyone
encounters problems each day of their lives. Some are small and not
important and others alter the life experience. Life is a sequence of
problems waiting to be solved. People have the right of choice in
deciding the direction they will take pertaining to each problem.
What one person may see as simple choice, could be seen as a
unsurmountable problem to another person. It\'s only when you perceive
it as a problem that it becomes one.
Sometimes
when a problem occurs a person must develop a plan of resolve before
proceeding with other duties. When everything is in agreement there
is balance, contrary to unbalance when a problem has occurred. As the
individual seeks an agreeable solution, he/she must assess different
avenues until a solution can be found. He/she must go to the root of
the problem and work outward in order to identify it. After a problem
is identified, it may be attacked with confidence of resolve.
In
business as in personal life, problems can and do arise on a
continues bases. A person must be willing to put aside any personal
interest and differences in the interest of seeking a viable
solution. The challenge of entering into a business transaction is a
motivating force for presenting viable solutions to any questions
which may arise. It is best to take a position of performance rather
than examination. The idea of examining each step is best integrated
into performance. While the gap between them is not very wide it can
be bridged easily. It’s just a matter of finding common ground
between participants and proceeding in everyones best interest. While
all problems contain their own solution it is up to the parties
involved to identify and implement.
Do
not take a can\'t do position and always remember, everything and
anything has a solution.
Problem
solving does not containing itself entirely in things of physical or
material. Problem solving can also be a challenge when two or more
people come into conflict with other. In order to deal with conflict
and resolve, you should be familiar with the process of negotiation
and be able to use a positive planned approach to overcome
conflicting interests of any given issue. Rather it be domestic or
on the job, confect will arise at some time or another. You must be
able to recognize
the situation as a problem and be ready to offer a beneficial
solution. If the problem becomes hard or impossible to solve, it is
best to step back and review your strategy then offer a tender
resolution. Amongst people, problem solving is no more than finding
an answer that benefits everyone.
If
a problem arises between two or more factions, negotiation tactics
may be in order. This happens when two or more parties are in
conflict over a particular issue and begin to seek an alternative
resolution. The given solution must bridge the differences between
the conflicting parties.
You
must listen to the other party and seek the underlaying cause of the
conflict. Many times the ongoing discussion has not been about the
real issue at all. One person may say they won\'t accept a specific
thing that is not the center of the issue. To get past the trivial
issue simply remove it, or replace it with something of greater
value.
Most
disagreements occur from a misunderstanding or when there is a
difference of opinion or prospective. If a lack of apprehension
arises do not try to force the other party into your view. Assist
him/her to understand your perspective. Be calm and lead the person
through agreeable questions until all concerned is in agreement.
Example;
I can see John, that I have not fully explained the workings of the
T944 extrapolater. I can assure you, this machine will double your
output in less than six months. You have expressed that you are
interested in increased production, correct? (wait for answer) John
here is your chance to have it over your computation and break all
production output records, we can deliver the T944 on Thursday or
Friday, which would be best for you? Always address the problem give
a solution and ask a closing question. This example could also be
modified for other situations.
Problem
solving is an art and you are the artist. It\'s up to you to draw a
good enough picture where others can understand your point of view.
Practice paying close attention to your counterpart and use their
conversation to gain the upper hand. When approaching a mechanical or
business problem, go to the root and work outward. You will find it\'s
not as difficult as it may seem.
