Tribal Tattoo Designs
Although butterfly and flower designs are popular, tribal tattoo designs seem to be among the most inked, because they can have several different meanings and can be successfully combined with other designs to create a personal and unique tattoo.

Here are a few ideas if you’re thinking about getting a tribal tattoo:

Take your time deciding on the design.  If you don’t have anything in particular in mind, You can look online, join a few tattoo membership sites to help you look for ideas, or take a trip to your local tattoo studio for suggestions. Most tribal designs are solid black with no other colors.

A few online tattoo sites allow you to combine two or more designs if you want to have a unique design.  For example if you see a tribal skull design that you like, you can make it bigger or change just about anything in the tattoo design that would make it unique for you. I’ve seen a lot of tribal tattoos that combine skulls and letters.

Some other ideas you can combine are, celtic, star, fairy, cross, flower, eagle, tiger and butterfly tribal tattoo designs.

Tribal tattoos can be put virtually anywhere on the body, just like any other tattoo.  They can wrap around the arms or the back.

You can ask the tattoo artist to draw the entire tattoo from scratch.  Experienced tattoo artists are skilled at working freehand, which gives you the ability to make changes and give input to ensure you get what you have in mind.

Depending on the tattoo design you have in mind, it may take quite a few hours before the artist is finished. Drawing a custom tattoo can take anywhere from an hour to several hours, depending on the size and detail. With larger tattoos, you may need to come back to have the work finished.  Tribal tattoos that have a lot of detail can be a bit complex, both to draw and to tattoo.

But no matter what design you decide on, you won’t regret a tribal tattoo design.
