Your body has a way of reflecting your health. For instance, if you have a cold, your body will show signs of extreme fatigue. The same idea goes for stress. If you are stressed your body will undoubtedly show it. Not only will you feel sad and unmotivated but you will also have the chance of showing signs on your skin. For instance, a lot of people, when under stress, experience an increase in breakouts. When this occurs, it only leads to more stress.  So what can we do in order to reduce tension and its effects on our skin?

In order to reduce stress and its impact on our skin we have to maintain a healthy diet, get adequate amount of sleep, exercise and remember to relax. A healthy diet is quite simple. Eat plenty of fruit, vegetables, and whole grains. Try to eliminate foods that are greasy or fried. Also be sure that you get plenty of sleep. Studies show that most adults only get five hours of sleep each night when the recommended amount is eight. So be sure to get plenty of sleep. Another important part of a stress free life is exercise. Be sure that your physical fitness routine is something that you enjoy so that you stick with it. The same goes for relaxation. Be sure that you set some time aside each day to do something that is both relaxing and enjoyable.

And last but not least, if you want to avoid blemishes on your skin, be sure to stick to your daily skin care routine. Many times, if we feel stressed we do not feel like keeping up with daily tasks. This could lead us to skip our morning face wash or our nighttime makeup removal. When we skip these important tasks, we are truly asking for unsightly breakouts. So if you don’t want stress to impact your skin, be sure to follow these important steps.
